Safety Meeting Held by 3-C Cameron District
The 3-C Cameron District of the Texas Louisiana Power Company held its second Safety Meeting on Thursday March 26 with full attendance. Founded 1874 the town moved to its current site in 1880 when the G C S F built through. Milano likely derives its name from Milan Italy meaning Thousand Years. Sam Cheeves died Monday morning March 30 1981 at 12 10 in Cross Plains Texas. He was born in Cameron March 5 1907 and was married May 11 1938 to Mary Clem Wilburn. Funeral held Wednesday at First Methodist Church Cameron with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. He survived by his wife mother three sisters and one brother.
