Phillis Jean Logan celebrated her sixth birthday Saturday with help from her mother entertaining sixteen children. Games filled the afternoon and refreshments were served. Leonard Yerkes and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowman on Sunday.
The Camden Juniors stage a fall play with strong cast and design. Armistice Day assembly featured songs and Rev. Kahl speaking on the Price of War. Veteran Harold Baker shared WWI artifacts and experiences with students.
Seventh and eighth grade teams at Adams meet for a community Piure Day event. Lees provide coaching and players show improvement, aiming to sustain good form and secure continued participation next year.
A birthday dinner was held at the Sterling home in honor of Mr. and Mrs P Sterling and Mr A W Bowyer III with guests including Mr and Mrs Chas Wingard, Mr and Mrs Wm Castle and Leora, and relatives from Logansport Indianapolis Anderson and other nearby towns.
The tenth annual Purdue Flower and Horti Show opens at noon Friday November 14 and runs until 9 PM that day then all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Sentries of prize fruit and vegetables arrive as management expects over 6 000 attendees. The event is in the new Horticultural Building and Green House near the Experiment Station.
C M Vestal at Purdue issues a bulletin on using soy beans as a protein supplement for fattening hogs. The note highlights bean value and notes Carroll county's supply and price could shift toward pork production.
Donald Wayne Calloway son of Mr and Mrs Williard Calloway of east of Camden was born November 4 380 and died November 1 1985 age seven. Funeral services conducted at home Wednesday afternoon by Rev Elmer Kahl of the Lutheran church. Interment in Wise Cemetery west of town.
A county wide Anti-Saloon League event in Indiana will feature William KN Pussyfoot Johnson and Ebbert as principal speakers. The meeting is organized with the Indiana State group and will be held at the Church of the Brethren.
On Thursday night November 20 in Flora Mr. Dolison presents a talk titled Babylon and Way Stations. He is joined by Lieut Colonel F B Ebbert newly elected superintendent of the Anti Saloon League of Kansas who is expected to accompany him.
F B Ebbert is slated to deliver an address at the meeting with Colonel Ebbert as the speaker. The message titled The Unfinished Battle forms the focus of the talk. Both men plan a statewide tour and expect to stay in the state for two to three months.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyrial Bowman and their daughter visited Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Gisk of Young America on Sunday for a social visit.
Members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church joined neighbors in Loganport to mark the 100th anniversary of the Presentation of the Angshbure Confession. Rev. Peal AP Brosy of Cosheu delivered the address, praising the confessional heritage and future possibilities for Lutheran churches.
The local congregation will carry on its usual activities with energy. The Catechetical instruction class will meet every Monday at 7:00 PM. Interest is invited from others who wish to join without inconvenience, as delays create trouble. Please pray and participate actively to guide youth toward a better life.

P O Wilson manager of the National Livestock association will be principal speaker at the Indiana Cattle Feeders Association fall meeting at Purdue University on Friday Nov 14. He will discuss plans by the National Livestock Marketing association and their impact alongside Federal Farm Board proposals. Experimental cattle are in feeding pens at Purdue and will begin feeding during the meeting.
