Harvard Square taxi shift approved by license board
Traffic Police Captain John J. Canney and Board of Appeal member William L. Galvin appeared to seek consent for moving taxis from the rear of the El pillbox in Harvard square as a congestion relief measure. A two week trial near the Harvard Lehman gate was approved with possible extension. The board also reported guilty verdicts for junk dealers Max Adelman and Jake Oster for buying cable from juveniles and suspended their licenses for 30 days. Garage permits and gasoline storage were granted. Dr. T. Blake Smith of 1955 Mass avenue registered for the Graduate Conference at the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry.

The Mothers' Club of the Cambridge Tuberculosis and Health Association held a year end party at the YWCA.
