City Council Holds Special Session on Loans and Hearings

The Boston City Council met in a half hour session approving loan transfers of 1350.16 in the Hospital Department and 1000 in Law Department plus 200 for Parks ERA project. A 226 Welfare Department gift faced Foley’s no vote. A MD C letter discussed temporary parkway use near Brookline and a possible playground at Magazine Beach. A hearing on the trackless trolley route between Harvard and Lechmere Squares via Cambridge Street was set for Sept 10, later amended to July 30.
