License Commission Activities Review and Licenses Granted
The License Commission held a meeting this week with bar members present. Permits were issued to Wm Crane Inc and Nat yeast and Malt Co to store gasoline and to keep pyroxyline at specified addresses. Winter Hill Ice Co received permission to store range oil in underground tanks. Atty Ray W Guild represented Jennie Ereivis seeking a beer license, while another resident opposed. The board denied a license for Ereivis though her attorney argued qualifications and spousal restrictions. Details of a bar incident at Wm J Peters restaurant were presented by police. The board also granted a wines and malt beverages license to Lawrence Amaral at 717 Main. Continued on Page 3.
