North Cambridge Fourth of July Celebration at Rindle Field

The North Cambridge Independence Day fete drew large crowds with fine weather and strong local support. Alderman Harlow C. Brownell and Councilman Joseph M. Casey led events including a 2:30 half mile for boys, a 100 yard dash for boys and girls, and a relay by the Octette of Tunners. Winners received gold watches, medals, and jewelry prizes. The morning baseball between the Pembertons and North Cambridge ended 5 to 4 with standout plays and disputed calls.
