The North Cambridge Independence Day fete drew large crowds with fine weather and strong local support. Alderman Harlow C. Brownell and Councilman Joseph M. Casey led events including a 2:30 half mile for boys, a 100 yard dash for boys and girls, and a relay by the Octette of Tunners. Winners received gold watches, medals, and jewelry prizes.
