Annual Outing of Central Square Business Men

More than 50 members and guests attended the Central Square Business Men outing at H. J. Seiler's Ten Acres in Wayland. The day featured a leading ball game won by the married men 21 to 15 with home runs by several players, plus barnyard golf finals and dinner prize drawings for local residents.

License Commission Moves To Revoke Magnet Luncheonette License

The Cambridge License Commission voted to revoke the malt beverage license of the Magnet Luncheonette at 27 Pearl Street effective next Monday. Special Officers Shea and O’Connor testified about witnessing beer being served to drunken patrons and girls moving between booths. The defense praised Officer Shea while the chair questioned booth activities. The firm plans to appeal to the State ABC. Charlotte Wheeler failed to obtain a malt beverage license for 1407 Cambridge Street, with Rev. A A Graham opposing the petition.
