An American raiding party crosses No Man’s Land in camouflag suits and targets a German sniper. Dismukee, Couch, and McCain each account for multiple enemy casualties and one officer captured or killed, with a rescue of a missing comrade and return of a German body with confidential papers.
The Cooper-Baird company offered four 20 cent tickets to the person who found the most words in The Traveling Salesman. Mrs. F W Reed of 500 South Ninth street found 1575 words to win. Ruth Davidson submitted 1299 words and Grace Cunningham 1000 words. One participant found only eight.
