Man Arrested on Serious Charge Near Birds Run
John Tucker a coal miner near Birds Run was arrested Monday at Newark on a warrant for attempted rape. Detained at Newark depot he was to be sent to Cambridge for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the grand jury. The alleged victim is a 14 year old girl who had been staying at the Tucker home during Mrs Tucker’s illness. Tucker denied the charge.
