Dr. Thomas L. Shearer of Baltimore reports that a year of going hatless in all weathers has cured his incipient baldness. Since starting experiments his own hair reportedly grows noticeably. He still uses an umbrella during rain and snow.

The Thobarn Band of the M. E. church celebrated its 21st birthday with a Birthday party at Mrs. L. G. Haines home on North 7th Street. A large crowd attended despite bad weather. Members paid a penny per year of life and nonmembers 10 cents. over $6 raised, with refreshments by Admiral Coffee Co. representatives. The event featured a short program of music and a band history plus charades.
