Elizabeth Townsand Culverhouse born August 23 1925 in Belmont County died May 30 1906 at her son L P Moore's home south of Middlebourne. She married Ellis P Moore in 1847 and left five children all surviving except Erasmus James who died in infancy. A longtime M E church member and Sunday School teacher she directed youth with wisdom and served in the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society as charter and life member and president. She was a devoted neighbor mother and Christian example, with funeral at her son's home conducted by Revs Groves and Yeager, burial Pisgah Cemetery, W F M Society contributing.
