Opening of Wall Avenue and sidewalk plans
At a regular Board of Public Service meeting the decision was made to build a five foot cement sidewalk on the east side of South 5th Street from Turner Avenue to the Minto building. The board also ordered surveys to open Wall Avenue between North 5th and 6th streets with Engineer O M Hoge to stake ground. Contractor Port Gibson holds the contract for cement sidewalks along the west side of North 6th Street from Wheeling to Steubenville Avenue and will begin when weather permits.
