Installation of Rev Gilbert O Miller at Cambridge Second Presbyterian

The Cambridge Second United Presbyterian church installed Rev Gilbert O Miller as pastor in a Tuesday ceremony. The service included presbytery session, a sermon on Ezekiel 33 8 delivered by Rev William Dunsan, and charges by Rev J A Kennedy and Rev W J Graham. Attendees included pastors from nearby churches and press, with reception and guest honors following. John Lloyd Arrested in Supposed Law Challenge

John Lloyd a former saloon keeper now running a drug store was arrested by Constable M E Gallup on an affidavit charging him with violating the realm law. He appeared before Justice Calvert in Center township, waived examination, and was bound over to the grand jury in 300 dollars. Lloyd refused bond and remains jailed. ta be as corpus proceedings likely to be filed for his release.

John Lloyd ex saloon keeper held on indictment for selling liquor beyond one mile of Guernsey county, remains jailed as petition for habeas corpus relief prepared by S. B. Mannett and to be filed in Columbus Circuit Court today. Petition argues liquor law unfairly applies differently across counties and counties must fund the defense. if denied, an appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court may follow.
