Plumbers in the area have suffered from influenza like illness this past month and some report whooping cough and suspected measles, though the latter has not appeared.

A six man corps of civil engineers surveys a Wheeling to Zanesville interurban route south of the B and O line. Indications point to Wheeling capitalists backing the project with possible involvement by the Widener Elkins syndicate or the Indiana Columbus and Eastern. The move aims at a paying line, with survey work twelve miles east of Zanesville underway.

Woman Dies After Train Accident in Marietta Division
Mrs. Clinton Ford of Cambridge was killed when she fell from the track under moving cars about 12 or 1 PM on the Marietta Division freight shed track near the depot. Coroner Yeo identified the body later as Mrs. Ford, a 50 year old crippled woman who had been begging in the city.
