President urges law banning corporate campaign contributions
In a lengthy message to Congress President Roosevelt presses for enactment of a law prohibiting corporate contributions to campaign funds and for a right of appeal in criminal cases on questions of law. He warns that failure would hinder justice, especially against wealthy interests, and outlines related reform proposals on injunctions, lynching, and corruption.
