Mountain prospectors swept by avalanche on Mount Sheridan
J W Morrin and G L Berg were camped on Mount Sheridan near the Grand View Lode when a severe thaw and windstorm shredded their tent. While descending a sixteen inch snow crust gave way sending Morrin over a forty foot fall injuring his leg. Berg saved him and organized aid, Morrin carried to timber line then to Leadville for medical care.
