Orpah Turns Back From Bethlehem in Talmage Sermon
Rev. Dr. Talmage analyzes Ruth 1 14 to urge that Orpah, like many, yields to fear and comforts of Moab, choosing backsliding over faith. He contrasts Ruth's steadfast resolve with Orpah's wavering, warning that leaving sin requires courage and persistence, not easy retreat.
