Governor Beaver reports 20000 expended for debris removal and about one million in relief funds raised. George C Hamilton Warren named chief engineer to oversee work Monday. Five more bodies recovered Friday and coroner inquiry to continue.

Change in method of payment for last sickness and burial claims

Claims are filed with the Third Auditor for army cases or the Fourth Auditor for navy cases, and the auditor determines the amount due.
