Senate and House Motions on Bonds Tariffs and Health

The International Convention of the Knights of St John in Cleveland adjourned on the 27th naming Charles McHannan as President and Casper Drescher Nicholas Kase as vice presidents. G H Schulte is Secretary and Joseph Hesslinger Treasurer with an eight member Executive Committee. The Right Rev Bishop McQuade was named spiritual adviser and Rochester to host in June. The Illinois Republican State Convention met at Springfield July 15 electing George Hunt chairman and naming Secretaries Dan Shepherd and G L Stover. General J C Smith Chicago nominated for Treasurer and Charles T Stratton for State Superintendent. The platform pledges continued Republican policies and civil liberties.
