Death of General Ward B. Burnett West Point’s oldest graduate
Washington June 25 General Ward B Burnett died after a long illness. He was a hero of five wars and was chosen to receive a gold legacy from New York City king for distinguished military service. He helped plan Croton and Brooklyn water works and served as a Mexican army general. His funeral was at Epiphany Church and he was buried at West Point.
