Fire destroys National Tubular Axle works and homes at McKeesport
Fire broke out about two o'clock Sunday morning in the National Tubular Axle works area at McKeesport Pennsylvania twelve miles from Pittsburgh. The blaze rapidly consumed the building and three adjoining double frame houses owned by John Gallager and William Taylor. Inmates escaped in night clothes with no valuables saved. Total loss about 70000 dollars, all insured. The axle works was a new structure and about one hundred men were left unemployed.
