The receiver of the First National Bank and Trust Company urges all creditors to call at the bank for final dividend checks. Checks remaining at month end must be returned to the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington DC, or creditors may face difficulty obtaining them later.
Dr. Neil Carothers of Lehigh University told the National Association of Purchasing Agents that recovery is irresistible despite inflation labor shortages unwise legislation and the Blue Eagle threat. He urged responsible labor power and warned a 30 hour week could slow the economy potentially inviting tighter government control.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hayes moved to Cambridge City while Rex Murray attends the Purdue Round-Up. A large wedding at their southwest Connersville home unites Miss Doris Reed and Wilbur Clevenger with a praised ceremony and receptions.

Lincoln High School held an alumni banquet and dance last Thursday with about two hundred attendees. The retiring president Mrs Lotus Miller chaired the hour program. new officers for 1937 38 include Harry Winter president Roy Kellam vice president Ruth G Weaver secretary and Alvin J Bertsch treasurer. The next banquet is set for the third Friday evening in June 1938. Members and participants included A H Hines from Wayne County Superintendent's office Mrs Campbell Brower Miss Ruth Dodson Mrs Roy Adams Robert Harmeier Mrs Irvin Harmeier Clarence Chase Roberta Henderson and Bobbie Krone with Bob Armstrong's orchestra providing music.
The Nimble Fingers 4 H Sewing club met at Mavis McGrady home last Thursday afternoon for a picnic then held a regular meeting with four demonstrations. Maxine Rauthe demonstrated hemming a tea towel, Doris Rauthe decorated a tea towel, Geraldine Crockett made a pan holder, and Mildred McCullough demonstrated basting. Doris Rauthe performed a piano solo. Members present were Geraldine Crockett Doris Rauthe Maxine Rauthe Mary Ammon Betty Lou Watson Mildred McCullough Naomi Hendricks Barbara Worl and Mavis McGrady.
Mrs C M Howard injured her left middle finger last Saturday when a fish hook pierced the finger during a fishing outing at Lake Wehi. The hook had to be pulled through, and the fish reportedly got away, leaving uncertainty whether the event was true.
Miss Korena Mae Clifton visits Indianapolis over the weekend to spend time with relatives.

Mrs. Hugh Foss hosted last Friday night at her Front street home. Officers for the club year were Mrs. Foss president, Mrs. Ben Sanford vice president, Mrs. Dan Winter treasurer, and Miss Char lote Newman secretary. A dainty lunch followed for Mesdames Lillie Huddes ton, Frank Morrow, Willard Petro, and Cora Whelan of Richmond.
The Capitol Hill Cemetery Association thanks supporters who helped with spring cleaning and says another cleanup is planned for summer to ease next spring’s work.
Indianapolis Safety Council approves a ten point bicycle rider guide. It urges learning in safe places before street riding, regular bike checks, keeping right and obeying rules, signaling turns, riding straight and avoiding weaving, using lights and reflectors at night, securing loads, and choosing calm routes to prevent injuries and deaths.

Miss Ruth Harmeier traveling to the Kappa Phi convention in Denver sustained a cracked nose when the Jennings car collided with a culvert after passing another vehicle in a heavy rain west of Terre Haute. Mrs Jennings suffered a slight concussion and was taken to a Terre Haute hospital. Harmeier and another young woman continued by bus.
The New York State Department of Labor reports 900 jobs left unfilled in April from among 450000 names in the Division of Placement. Sixty percent of openings require skilled or semi skilled labor as apprentice programs slowed. Metal trades show a shortage with 125 posts left vacant at 80 cents to 125 per hour.
