Ruth Judkins replaces Fern Ashbaugh as president. officers include Hines, Griffin, Morris, Kuster, Allen, Ina Hines, and Ashbaugh as advisor. They supported Centennial events Red Cross flood relief milk for children and Boy Scout aid.
Mrs Earl Clevenger entertained a group of bridge guests on Wednesday including Mesdames James Bozoarth Walter Mortiboy Elmer Wright Russell Chapman Charles Lowry McKinley Leapley James Butler and John Kinsinger. A separate dinner and theatre party honored Miss Margaret Beck with Misses Lucille Pritchard Olga Bachman Helen Dryer and Mrs Lawrence Bogue at Richmond on Monday evening.
Mr and Mrs Edwin Thom relocate to Brownstown this week due to Edwin’s new publishing job. Mr and Mrs Forrest Hull plan mid July move to Elwood as Forrest transfers there as district manager for Standard Oil Co.

Numerous Ohio visitors shared Sunday meals with local families including Decker and Schuesslin households in Piqua and Williamsburg guests. Miss Ruth Harmeier returned home from Colorado after attending a sorority convention. Bruce Henderson and Richard Ressler, with Rolla Grigsby, vacation in Michigan with golf clubs noted.

Charles Gordon suffered severe flesh injuries to a limb when Newell Grist of New Castle backed a car into Gordon’s vehicle near the circus grounds. Police separated a near riot as Grist was jailed. Gordon was hospitalized at Henry County Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Miss Jane Ault of Auburn Maine was crowned Queen of Maine's First Apple Blossom Festival at the Saunders Orchard in Greene. Governor Barons officiated with remarks on the apple industry while Bates College aided in the event.
