The body found in the Rockaway River near the Pine Brook bridge has been identified as Charles Smith thirty three of Mountain View by his wife at the Caldwell morgue. Smith formerly served as coachman for John Caputicks of Mountain View and had been unemployed for eight months. The report suggests self-inflicted death rather than accident.
