Tragedy on the Line Claims a Life in New Jersey

A lineman, Lambertson, was electrocuted while working on a live wire near Matawan New Jersey. He died after over an hour of attempted resuscitation by colleagues and medical staff. He was 26, sole support of his widowed mother Eunice Lambertson and had worked for the company four years. Burial planned in Matawan with services in Caldwell.

Decoration Day memorial exercises in Caldwell

On Tuesday morning during Decoration Day the Bart Lett Post G A R led memorial rites in Caldwell. A procession formed at Bloomfield avenue, with Verona Brass Band and several civic groups carrying flags and flowers. Graves were decorated and a dinner followed at the Mead building. The Alaimose Association of the Newark Seminary also held its annual outing at Monomonock Inn Caldwell with twenty four covers and officers elected for the year.
