Centennial Mill Pan Proves Highly Efficient Mining Boost
Centennial Mill works prove the Purvine Pan highly successful, enabling continuous stamping and doubling amalgamation capacity at the Centennial mill. Ore from the Burlington mine shows 100 to 150 ounces silver per ton average, with two shafts sunk to depth, and a five foot vein carrying rich ore. Swan & Nortman and partners continue active development near Butte, with several claims and mills reporting strong ore returns and rapid processing times.

Large Indian Vipin Mining Lead Vein Opened for Sale Prospects
An historic report describes a long lead vein with widths from forty to eighty feet and 16 23200 feet length, opened in four to five plates. Walls exposed along the lead show linear, well defined formations. The dip is westward and depth unknown, but the work aims to present ore rather than develop the mine. Ownership cited as Prof Knebe and Spurr & Collins.
