Treat Both Folk and Stone Fairly There Must Be An End
The article defends both lawyers Stone and Folk against charges over fees earned while out of office. It states Stone could rightfully take a $1000 fee for drafting a brief for Royal Baking Powder Co. Folk also had a right to accept $250 from saloon keepers’ association for services. It argues against prejudice in voters and discusses Missouri Senate election dynamics and the Kentucky precedent’s relevance to New Madrid.
