Senator Stone Bides His Time
Washington May 4 Senator Stone of Missouri will leave Washington May 15 and delay opening his campaign against Governor Folk into June. He plans to attend the State Convention for delegates to the Denver Convention and schedule his speeches after conferring with allies. He aimed to stay in Washington until Congress adjourns, now expected mid May. He commented on Gov Folk’s St Joseph speech but offered no publication remarks. A precursor campaign by correspondence is underway to keep postal service busy. In Lamar Sunday, and near Folk in St Louis, Stone remains active and influential in Missouri politics. He counts about thirty five thousand Democrat votes in St Louis primaries, predicting Cowherd's lead with Hawes allies and Kaneus Cliyan support shaping the race.
