General Fitzhugh Lee of Virginia died at Providence Hospital Washington at 11:20 AM after an apoplexy and paralysis attack while traveling from Boston to the capital His brother Daniel Lee and Drs Edie and Kean were present The great grandson of Light Horse Harry and nephew of Robert E Lee, he was born November 19 1835 at Clermont VA He served in the Confederate Army rising to major general and later held posts as governor of Virginia consul general at Havana military governor of Havana and commander of the Department of the Missouri He died at age 63 with his death following a sudden change after a period of relative improvement.
