The Butler Fire boys and Band excelled at the Interstate Firemans Tournament in Kansas City, securing multiple cash prizes totaling about 3600 and a patent fire extinguisher for the most popular team. The band earned first prize and 200 cash. the fire team claimed several second prizes. overall the group brought home roughly 300 in cash.
