Holder Obtains Writ of Mandamus In Bibb Court
Macon Ga March 21 John N Holder through attorneys obtained a writ of mandamus in Bibb county superior court requiring W T Anderson and Stanley Bennett members of the Georgia highway commission to show cause why Holder should not be recognized as chairman. Judge M D Jones set April 3 for the hearing. The petition filed by Sam L Olive asserts Holder never resigned and asks for a writ of mandamus absolute. It charges the governor's executive order revoking Holder's commission as null and void. The suit says Holder was appointed January 1 1922 to January 1 1928 and that on March 14 the defendants met without notice and transacted board business.
