A flurry of visits and hosting across Baxley Colquitt and surrounding areas includes Mrs. McCracken visiting her daughter in Baxley, Mrs. R. E. Aultman Jr. home from Macon hospital, and the Neislers entertaining their Bridge Club. Guests travel from Orlando, Columbus, Atlanta, and Washington to see relatives, with many attending church, hospital visits, or funerals, including a trip to Americus for the Jarrell funeral.
The Reynolds UDC chapter will hold a gathering on June 28 at 3 30 PM. The notice quotes Jean P Richter stating joys are our wings and sorrows are spurs. The Gordon Carson Chapter of I the Reynolds UDC is involved in the meeting.
Miss Jacqueline Ruth Knight wed Thomas B. Martin Jr. in a home ceremony in Macon on June 3. Rev Frank T. Knight officiated with a simple setting. The couple, both from Georgia families, will reside in Macon as the groom joins Florence Bernd School faculty and the bride completes Mercer University studies.
