State Port proposed in Georgia to unite transport and markets

Gordon Raussby argues for a publicly owned Georgia State Port at deep water near Savannah with rail and water links. He contends state ownership ensures farmer input, steady markets, and reduced transport costs, forecasting a year‑round cotton market and strong regional commerce.
