Mrs Lorenzo Purvis Dies After Lingering Illness
Mrs Lorenzo Purvis died at a Columbus hospital after a long illness. She was about 50, daughter of the late Elder and Mrs Frank Fuller formerly of this county. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Bloodworth cemetery near Charing. Survived by husband Mr Purvis of Columbus and two daughters.

Three Brothers Drown at South Georgia Water Hole
In Sardis Georgia three Sanders children Wayne Sanders 10 Frank Sanders 8 and Robert Sanders 7 drowned in a stock watering pool near their home Saturday. The depth reached about nine feet and their clothing was found beside the water. Sheriff O J Cliatt said the boys likely went swimming unaware of the depth.

Hartman Suffers Double Amputation in Water Skiing Accident
C M Hartman 28 son of Mr and Mrs Tim Hartman of Crowell suffered a severe water skiing accident near Cartersville when he tangled with a boat propeller. His right foot was severed and his left foot mangled. Taken to Georgia Baptist Hospital Atlanta doctors later amputated the left foot. He and his wife have resided in Atlanta while he works in real estate. previously they lived in Miami. His condition is improving.
