Mrs Eveline Hunter Hart wife of J T Hart of Howard and granddaughter of Free Mathews died in Asheville North Carolina last Friday. Her infant preceded her in death. Funeral and burial were in Howard Sunday. The community mourns the loss of a longtime Howard resident and last descendant of the notable Mathews family. The Masonic Lodge and local leaders prepared sympathy resolutions for Mr Hart and the family.
Resolutions express sympathy for Brother J T Hart on the death of his wife Eviline Hunter Hart on May 28 1915. The lodge extends prayers for comfort to the grieving spouse and family in their time of sorrow.
A rural route from Howard to Daviston Prattsburg and Carsonville will be established June 16. An examination for the carrier position on this route will be held at Talbotton June 26. Applicants may obtain application blanks from the Talbotton postmaster.
J. T. Mathews advertises hens to dispose of this week at 19 cents per pound for hens and 20 cents per pound for fryers. Demand is strong.
