Mr. Frank P. Wilson longtime Columbus resident and Centennial Cotton Gin Co. secretary treasurer died Sunday at City Hospital after two months illness. He was born March 3 1897 in Taylor County and survived by wife Jewel two sons and two daughters. Funeral was Tuesday at East Highlands Methodist Church with Rev. Moore and Rev. Shell officiating.

Homecoming Program at Historic Clay County Church
Mount Zion Baptist Church near Ft. Gaines will host its annual homecoming this Sunday. Death by own action ruled in Macon couple death
A coroner's jury ruled death by own action in the inquest into the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Eversole of Macon. The Maconite shot his wife and then killed himself in their apartment after leaving notes alleging his wife had fallen for a local businessman. Funeral services were held in Fairburn. The couple, longtime Macon residents since 1948, left two daughters, a son in the USMC, and five siblings among their survivors.

Small Plane Forced Landing Near Athens Leaves Two Uninjured
Two Navy fliers stationed at Athens narrowly escaped injury when they forced landed at Butler Air port. They were in a small cub plane owned by the Augusta Flying School and became lost late Tuesday night. They located the airport around 11 45 p m and landed. No injuries and only minor damage to the aircraft.
