Postmaster Jas H Hart announced the Ellaville post office earned 17.3 percent more receipts in the last fiscal year and was elevated to a second class office effective July 1. Gross receipts for year ending June 30 1945 totaled 9 088 99, up from 7 748 22 and 6 655 57 in earlier years. Hart cited improved county economic conditions as the reason.
