Murder Warrants Dismissed in Holmes Case at Columbus
Warrants against L. M. Houser M. Carlisle and Mrs Annie Turner for the murder of Mrs Thelma Holmes and J T Davis Jr were dismissed in Chattahoochee county by Solicitor General A J Perryman after a two day inquiry. Carlisle had been jailed then released to return home. The decision followed Carlisle’s statement that he knew nothing of warrant issuance and found insufficient evidence for continued holding. In related news the State Highway Board met in Moultrie to plan expenditure of federal aid money and discuss marshal law disruptions at the capitol.

Buena Vista Man Loses Legs In Train Accident

Three women injured in Montezuma truck collision
Three women with broken legs remained in satisfactory condition at Montezuma Hospital after a vegetable truck sideswiped their vehicle Tuesday morning. T. E. Higginbotham and son J A Higginbotham, drivers of the vegetable truck, were released from jail Wednesday and cleared of blame by the investigating officers. The crash occurred as they returned to Columbus from Savannah with a potato load.
