Winter Snow and Cold Claim Two Lives in the South
Snow and below freezing weather yesterday and today are blamed for two deaths. Miss Lizzie Braberry, a 65 year old blind resident of Atlanta, and R R Crenshaw, 50, of Macon, are named in reports as the deceased.

Mrs. J W Cannon aged about 99 of Reynolds area died Friday at noon after bronchial pneumonia three weeks illness. Born Oct 25 1845 she lived in Marion now Taylor County all her life. She married Amerson before, then husband died years ago. Survived by daughter Mrs B F Hammock, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Baptist member. Funeral Friday at 3 pm at her home conducted by Rev J N Shell.

Field Day Exercises at Butler Colored School Friday
Field Day activities are planned at the Butler Public School for colored students on Friday March 8. $27,000,000 Road Certificates Upheld by Cobb Judge
Marietta Ga Feb 28 Judge J H Hawkins ruled that 27 million in highway certificates are valid binding obligations of the state and not subject to objections raised in a petition by Madronah Sales Company seeking an injunction to stop payments. Miss Leonora Anderson of Taylor County led a mattress making demonstration at Mrs Ed Hollis home in Cross Roads on February 20. The session began at 9 am and continued through lunch when attendees enjoyed a hearty meal. After lunch the group resumed work then held a regular meeting with a talk on arranging yard and flowers. Club members thanked Mrs Hollis for the day and lunch inviting others to the March meeting.

Geneva Talbotton Paving Set For March 10
The highway between Geneva and Talbotton seven and a half miles long will be paved. The roadway is closed with a detour five miles from Geneva to Talbotton. Contractors are leveling resurfacing and rolling in preparation for paving which will begin March 10 as part of the Columbus Macon highway.

W F Garrett Killed in Edison Ga Auto Crash
Mr W F Garrett aged about 55, son of the late Cass Garrett of Charing, was killed instantly Thursday morning near Edison when the car failed to turn and overturned an embankment. He lived in Blakely and is survived by his wife and two children Louise Harbuck of Tazewell and Otis Garrett of Blakely. Driver John Thomas escaped injury. The two were returning home to Blakely from Blakely when the accident occurred.

Public Requested To Be Conservative In Use of Water
Hutler Water Works Co reports a serious deficiency in the water supply for commercial purposes and asks the public to conserve water. The city has depended on a long used source that is gradually failing. An effort to sink a deep well to 400 feet has failed. the project was abandoned yesterday and work commenced at a new location this morning. Persistent efforts will continue until a supply meeting reasonable demand is found.

Born September 11 1874 he lived his life in Daviston and was a member of Wesley Church. Survived by one brother John Searcy and preceded in death by his wife Julia Wallace. Trapp Dies After Lingering Illness At Vet Hospital
Mr Stanley M Trapp aged 44 passed away on February 21 after a seven year illness. He was born February 15 1891 and lived in this county before moving to Manchester to run a business with his family. Funeral services were at the Baptist church in Manchester on February 22 with Rev H C Fowler officiating and burial in Reynolds cemetery. He is survived by his widow Minnie Rustin a son Robert Trapp two sisters Georgia Trapp and Inez Trapp and a brother Horace Trapp. Georgia Trapp is a nurse in Atlanta and Inez Trapp teaches in Marietta Ga.
