On December 14 Reynos high school seniors and staff enjoyed a turkey dinner hosted by Mrs. Edgar Whatley and Mrs. Robert Bell at Bell’s home. Festive decorations, a lit Christmas tree, gifts, tables assigned by numbers, plus games and carols, marked a 27 strong turnout.

Georgia Peach Growers Form New Statewide Association
Growers from across Georgia met in Macon and organized the Association of Georgia Peach Growers to promote the industry. Group Opposed to Vacation Pay In State Legislature
Atlanta December 20 The senate appropriations committee voted 9 to 8 against paying general assembly members seven dollars per day for December 22 to January 3 during the holiday recess. They did approve mileage payments to and from their homes. An amendment to strike per diem and replace with mileage was defeated 8 to 6, as Senator Walter Whitehead proposed.

State Treasurer Says No Georgia Deficit
Atlanta reports State Treasurer Geo B Hamilton repeats there is no deficit in the treasury for December teachers salaries and says the payments are an advance rather than due until January 1.
