Escape Reveals Identity To Gain Liberty for Wife

In Lexington Kentucky on December 19 R L Stribling alias Henry L Wilson 34 confessed to police that he is an escape convict from the Georgia penitentiary at Milledgeville He said he is an engineer and Georgia Tech alumnus He and his wife Margaret 21 were detained on loitering charges and his admission led to her release The couple had been held as leverage over his return to prison authorities in Washington DC where he is wanted for forgery Also noted is a McIntosh County Georgia request to transfer full jurisdiction over Blackbeard Island to the county for public seaside access and use and a thrift drive by three Georgia institutions using Octagon soap coupons to obtain equipment donations

Two Escapes Milledgeville Prison Financier Stribling

Ray mond Stribling alias Harry L Wilson, a noted forger, escaped Milledgeville prison after two prior escapes and a prior flight to Indiana and Chicago. He was recaptured in Chicago and returned to Milledgeville, then broke out again with another inmate during wood splitting, remaining at large since last March.
