Funerial Service for Elton Scott Held at Sand Bethel
Funeral services for Elton Scott age 70 were held Saturday at Sand Bethel church in Taylor county near Rupert with Rev. J W Clark of Buena Vista Baptist Church in charge. Scott died suddenly in a Columbus hospital after years of poor health. He is survived by his widow, a son L J Scott, two daughters and several grandchildren.

Seven Persons Hurt in Highway Accident Near Butler
Seven people including two adults and seven children were injured when a new Ford pickup overturned four miles north of Flint River in Upson County on a Friday morning. The Taunton couple, ages 35 and 30, and six of their youngsters suffered injuries ranging from cuts to severe head trauma. two children remained hospitalized after initial treatment at Montgomery Hospital before being released.
