Americans learn of four years under German occupation in Paris from June 1940 to liberation. Paris endured curfews, food queues, blackouts, and Nazi control while a large underground resistance formed. The city’s culture and monuments survived amid rationing, evacuations, and punitive measures including mass roundups and executions.
