Progressive Miners Reach Illinois Pact With Coal Producers
After six months of talks the Progressive Miners of America and the Coal Producers Association of Illinois finalize a two year contract retroactive to April 1. The deal sets a 35 hour week and a $6 daily basic rate with standard union rules. President Ovaniec says a membership referendum will decide approval. Effective until March 31, 1939.
