Cecil M Murray, a former Hamilton boy now living in Cincinnati at 206 West Seventh Street, has been awarded the American Service Cross for heroism on the French firing line. He served four years operating the picture machine at the Jewel theatre and worked as an electrician in Hamilton, where he belonged to the electricians' union and the moving picture machine operators' union. Murray, assigned to the 323rd Machine Gun battalion, is married with one child. Friends celebrate the honor conferred upon him just before the United States entered the war.
