Light Registration in Middletown City Election

Middletown Ohio saw 382 registrations for the November city election, about 40 percent under capacity. Monday added 189 registrations, the only lively day since August 4. Co-clerk Frank Dobrozsi estimates 600 to 1,000 residents did not register. Address transfers totaled 674, yet about 15,000 voters will be eligible to ballot.

Lester Wilson aged 40 of 1285 High Street is charged with murder by shooting his wife Della 45 at her home 1858 South B Street last June 24. Wilson returned in August from Union Gap Washington. Grand jury list includes foreman Elmer Burg and numerous residents serving as members.

Under Garment Workers Win New Wage Agreement in City

The Under Garment and Negligee Workers Union Local 61 of ILGWU says about 12 000 members will gain roughly 750 000 dollars annually under the new contract now in effect. Local manager Samuel Shore notes the deal provides a 10 percent wage rise and paid vacations.

Civic Association names new governors in Middletown

In Middletown Ohio approximately 2000 ballots were cast for the Civic Association governors election. Of 10 governors four incumbents re elected. Lindsay Brought Home From Celina After Motorcycle Crash

Patrolman Allan Lindsay, badly injured in a motorcycle crash weeks ago, was brought from Gibbons Hospital Celina to Mercy Hospital in Hamilton. He informed friends that amputation of the injured leg will not be necessary.
