Columbus Ohio redetermination of unemployment compensation claims for about 120000 workers filed between January 1 1939 and February 23 will begin soon. Administrator H C Atkinson says a preliminary study is under way to apply a new February 23 rule for determining benefits based on the worker s most recent full time weekly wage. Attorney General Thomas Herbert ruled the process now constitutes a proceeding under the law and Atkinson may proceed with redeterminations.
