Trades Council Meeting Reports Elections and Picnic Plans
Hamilton Trades and Labor Council met Tuesday with President Ray Caldwell in the chair. Three new delegates were appointed to be installed next meeting, two out of town unionists attended as visitors, and resolutions were approved for the Ohio State Federation of Labor convention. The picnic is set for LeSourdsville Lake on Saturday August 10 with strong ticket sales. Harold Brooks said Valley Ice Company signed a new contract giving employees a 17 percent wage increase and that the firm is now fully union.
