Millions Predicted For Lower Wage Workers
In Washington DC Colonel Philip B. Fleming administrator of the Wage and Hour Division predicts that in 1941 the minimum wage will add more than 100 million dollars to pay envelopes benefiting about a million workers. NYA Workers Leave for Private Industry Jobs in November
Washington reports one eighth of NYA youth workers on the payroll quit in November mainly to take private sector jobs. Total terminations for the month reached 32,588 or 12.9 percent of total employment, with over 11,000 moving to private employment and about 2,500 to other public work.
