English Lancashire cotton mill bosses back trade unions following a Rochdale dispute over non union workers. The conciliation committee reports the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners' Associations favors workers joining unions and will circulate the stance to members.
AP News Service reports NLRB charges against Morris Watson of the American Newspaper Guild over union activity. The piece argues the Wagner Act infringes press freedom and due process, asserting Congress exceeded constitutional powers. NLRB hearing set for January 8.
